Bread Board: 31cm Round Farmhouse Hand Carved Bread Board, Olive Ash

A stunning large, round, bread board  hand made from beautiful Olive Ash wood by our very own South West, UK based carpenter.

This solid wood bread board has the carved words “Rye”, “Sourdough” , “Soda” , “Ciabatta” as a border, surrounding a neat channel for catching crumbs.

A sturdy board that is 31cm in diameter.

Made from specially selected fine grade English Ash which has come from Grantland Farm, situated halfway between Crediton and Tiverton in Devon. Each board is unique.

The wood has come from a tree came that came down in a Winter storm. Responsibly sourced. The farm has a policy of replanting trees.

Care:

• Do wash the board with warm soapy water. 
• Do oil the board regularly – you can not cause any damage by over-oiling. 
• Do store the board on a flat surface (not on its edge). 
• DO NOT leave items such as cheese on the board for long periods as the moisture can get into the wood and stains may develop. 
• DO NOT leave items made from steel, such as food cans, on the board for long periods as the steel may react with the wood causing stains to develop – stainless steel is not an issue. 
• DO NOT immerse the board in water or wash it in a dishwasher. 
• DO NOT subject the board to significant changes in temperature, e.g. by placing it on a stove or radiator.
